About Me

I am currently a Senior Data Science Consultant at Aurecon Group (Melbourne) where I apply the advanced machine learning and computer vision techniques in digital engineering and system design and also provide solutions for industry clients.

I received my PhD degree in Computer Science from La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia, in 2019. Before PhD, I received a Master degree of Engineering on Control Theory and Control Engineering in September 2014, and a Bachelor Degree of Engineering on Automatic Control in 2011 from Harbin University of Science and Technology (HUST), China.

I have been a causal academic staff at LTU and the TA for Computational Intelligence (CSE 3/5 CI) and Visual Information System (CSE 3/4 VIS) courses between 2015 to 2018. Besides, I have finished the APR. Intern Project (AMSI) with Aurecon between Nov-2017 and March-2018. During 2011-2014, I was an electronic engineer and programmer in projects supported by Research Institute of Petroleum Exploration and Development (RIPED) and Daqing Oilfield of CNPC.

I am also a member of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and IEEE Young Professionals and serves as an active reviewer of IEEE Transaction on Cybernetics, IEEE Transaction on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Information Science, Neurocomputing, Applied Mathematical Modelling, WIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, International Journal of Machine Intelligence and Sensory Signal Processing.

My Current Research is focusing on machine intelligence in computer vision and industry applications. The main topics include image processing, deep learning, large-scale data analytics, algorithm design and ensemble learning strategies.
